Day 1 - Arrival in Orvieto - Orvieto is less than 1h30 from Rome . Reach the town by your own means – Visit this beautiful town, with its superb Duomo, its underground voults and its medieval churches. Night in a centrally located 4 stars hotel.One of our representative will pick you up at your hotel and after a short briefing about the tour, will transfer you to Pitigliano one of the “Tufo” towns perched on a high cliff.

Pitigliano and Sovana
Day 2 – Pitigliano and Sovana - On the way you will visit Civita di Bagnoregio, a ghost town, part of the Unesco world heritage. Pitigliano is a medieval town with Etruscan origins and it host the oldest Juish getto in Italy. After a tour of town, start walking towards Sovana along one of the “vie cave” which are ceremonial routes literally carved in the soft tufo rock, man carved canyons – Night in Sovana

Etruscan mysteries
Day 3 – Sovana surroundings - Sovana itself is a beautiful little town with 2 very old churches well worth visiting and a few articraft boutiques. Within short walking distance there are two of the most impressive Etruscan burial sites with monumental tombs almost thee thousand years old. In the afternoon you can catch a bus to the near town of Sorano - Same hotel

Sovana Semproniano
Day 4 – Sovana to Semproniano – A nice walk in a rugged countryside where soft olive trees covered hills alternate with sheer cliffs and wooded canyons. It is fairly long hike and you should carry a pic-nic – Night in a cosy country Inn.

Hot Pools
Day 5 – Semproniano to Saturnia - Today a relaxing walk to reach the spectacular Saturnia hot springs. Basins of white calcareous stone allow you to soak in steaming hot water. Alternatively you can reach the town and use the paying Saturnia SPA. Angela, from your hotel will come and pick you up to avoid a tiring return.

A rugged landscape
Day 6 – Semproniano to Rocchette di Fazio This little village is perched on the ridge of a canyon and is protected by imposing walls dating back to 1200 . the walk is in a rugged landscape and can be pushed a bit further to have a view of the Albegna river enchased in a deep canyon. Back to your agriturismo for a cooking class during which you will prepare your own supper. (optional)

The land of Morellino
Day 6- Semproniano to Manciano – A softer landscape for this last day. Mediterranean bushes, chestnut trees and olive and vineyards and farmland where sheeps graze peacefully. You will be walking to a nice agriturismo in the middle of rich farmland.

The marine park
Day 7 – Manciano Uccellina park – Transfer to your “ agriturismo in the heart of the Parco dell’Uccellina. Spend the day relaxing near the sea or hike on a loop inside the park among scented bushes and maritime pine trees, il view of the sea.
