Cortona and Lake Trasimeno
Day 1& 2 - Arrival in Cortona, the small
medioeval town that Mayes' book has made famous. The next morning, after welcome meeting proceed toward
Trasimeno lake shores descending soft hills covered by the yellow broom
bushes. You will spend the second night at Cristina's house enjoying an Italian family

Cooking class
Day 3 – La Corte del Poggio loop - You can have a rest day with just a short loop to Panicale and a cooking class in the afternoon (not included in the price) or you can make a longer loop (50 km) to visit Deruta, famous for its ceramic

Perugia
Day 4 – La Corte del Poggio/Perugia (32 Km.) - Your day destination is Perugia, the main town in Umbria, with its fine square and communal palace, its renaissance painting collection, and the Rocca Paolina, the subterranean town . Perugia is also a lively town with shops and fashionable boutiques. Spend the night in town.

Assisi
Day 5 - Perugia/Assisi - (35km) We are now in the heart of Umbria; visit Torgiano, Lungarotti wineries home town; if a wine tasting might be dangerous for your safety (!) a visit to the wine museum is advised. Assisi is probably the most famous town of Umbria. Spend the night there in a lovely country Inn.

Assisi
Day 6 – Free day in Assisi – Assisi deserve an entire day to enjoy and your Inn has a lovely swimmingpool to relax. However if you want some exercice we have a half day hike to reach the Eremo delle carceri the San Francis peaceful retreat just above Assisi

The heart of Umbria
Day 7 - We bike in the very core of Umbria:
from Assisi to Spello, and, if you haven't had enough, on to Bevagna the lovelyy medieval town where each sumer a huge medieval festival is held that feature ancient workshops and costumes. Back to Assisi for the evening
Day 8 - After breakfast, take the funicular down to the railway station.
