xxmountain passes above
2000 meters with leg-breaking climbs

The Austrian stretch
The trip starts in Salzburg, a lovely town in
a superb pre-alpine setting. Located
at the northern boundary of the Alps, the mountains to the south make a striking contrast
with the rolling plains to the north. The town has the best pastry shops. Sacher torte and apfelstrudel fear no competition

Großglockner is, at 3798 m. asl,
Austria's highest mountain.
The Pasterze, Austria's biggest glacier lies at Großglockner's foot.
Also famous is the scenic road between Heiligenblut and Fusch, built between
1930 and 1935, which reaches 2572 m. 17 switchbacks and an average of 9,8% grade

The Dolomites great passes
Experience a spectacular cycling
through the landscapes of awesome Dolomiti Mountains. Choose
your own comfortable pace as you challenge the most historic switchback
climbs of the Giro d'Italia including the fearsome Pordoi and SellaPasso! Ride in the shadows of jagged pink granite peaks while enjoying deluxe
country inns and world-class Italian cuisine.

Cortina
Enjoy a relax day in Cortina, the capital of the Dolomites, its chic boutiques and cafes. However if you cannot spend a day without cycling there is always an extra pass to be enjoyed instead!

Descending into the hills
Down from the high mountains into softer land: vineyards covered hills, somptuous venitian villas, with frescoes by famous painters, typical villages with friendly market squares, and beautiful abbeys. We reach the coast in Iesolo, close to Venice airport and spend the night there.

Reaching Venice
A boat transfer will take you to the major attractions in Venice. This is not a city for bikes; take a gondola tour instead!
